John Dixon Schaeffel, born in Waukesha, Wisconsin on November 5, 1936, passed away in St. Germain, Wisconsin on July 14, 2025. John served honorably in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He worked for many years as a Forman with Mueller Pipeliners of New Berlin. Upon retirement, he became a Real Estate Broker in Northern Wisconsin. John was an avid fisherman, hunter, and loved Trap shooting. He is survived by his 3 children, 5 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and his sister Sue (Ron) Swiatowy. John was preceded in death by Ramona Schaeffel, his wife of 58 years. A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the Plum Lake Cemetery in Sayner, Wisconsin, at 11:00 am. A gathering at the Sayner Community Building will be held after the graveside.
