Judy Rau

Judith A. Rau, 79, passed away Friday, April 29th at Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital one day shy of her 80th birthday. Judy was born April 30, 1942 in Michigan City, Indiana to William and Amelia (Knoll) Welnetz. She married James Rau on September 8, 1962 also in Michigan City. Judy was a registered nurse and worked for 42 years in the Munster and Hammond, Indiana areas. Following retirement in 2003, Jim and Judy moved to the Harshaw area. She was a faithful member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, crosstitching, fishing, and flowers. Judy is survived by her husband, Jim; a son, Tim and Nancy Rau and their sons, Jimmy and Ryan all of Tomahawk; and a daughter, Missy Rau of Harshaw. Judy is further survived by many nieces, nephews and her faithful dog, Annie. She was preceded in death by 4 siblings. A Graveside service for Judy Rau will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 4th, 2022 at Union Grove Cemetery in Harshaw. Fr. Louis Maram Reddy will officiate.
