Judy Schoone

Judith A. Schoone, age 80, of Harrison, passed away on July 3, 2021 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk. Judy was born on May 26, 1941 in Tomahawk to Wayne & Regina (Likwarz) Egelkrout. She was married to Jerome “Jerry” Schoone on September 15, 1962 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. For 20 years, Judy cared for children at Self Adventure Preschool. Judy was a dedicated helper on the farm and a skilled seamstress. She was on the Harrison Township Election Board for many years. Judy was a very faithful and active member of St. Augustine Church. She was a Eucharistic minister and had taught religion at St. Augustine. Judy is survived by her husband of 58 years – Jerry Schoone of Harrison; and her children – Monica (Andy) Chase of Prior Lake, MN, Jeanne (Joe) Martens of Mosinee, Mary Jo (Greg) Johnson of Appleton, Andy (Nicole) Schoone of Tomahawk & Judi (Marty) Coppock of Mosinee. Judy is further survived by her siblings – Susie Callahan, John (Kathy) Egelkrout & JoAnn Egelkrout; 16 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren. Judy is preceded in death by her parents, sister – Lois Leggett & brother – Daryl Egelkrout. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00AM on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Harrison. Fr. Louis Maram Reddy will officiate. Visitation will take place on Friday, July 9, 2021 at the Krueger Family Funeral Home from 4:00PM until the time of rosary service at 7:00PM. Visitation will continue on Saturday at the church from 10:00AM until the time of Mass at 11:00AM. Burial will take place in St. Augustine Cemetery.
