Julee Anne Gentile, 53, of Lake Tomahawk, WI, formerly of Mercer, WI, passed away peacefully on September 15th, 2024, surrounded by loved ones.
Julee was born to Linda Gentile (Doriot) and Michael Gentile on July 5th, 1971 in Woodruff, WI. Her sister Melissa was ecstatic to have a sister, and they were joined at the hip from day one. Several years later, they embraced their new baby brother, Michael, and have all enjoyed the most meaningful, loving relationship together. In 2010, Julee happily welcomed her most precious son, Wyatt, the light of her life, and she thought her life was complete. Little did she know that her Life Partner, Mike Blom would enter her life a few years later, and their family was complete along with several furry friends.
Julee was content with what she had and generous with her gifts, which were always very thoughtful and useful.
She lived in a wonderful, loving manner, enjoying the sheer beauty of nature in the Northwoods- picking wild berries, fishing, boating, swimming, and even hunting, for a time.
Julee enjoyed so many of the Arts and shared them with those who will treasure them always. She designed, created, and painted many decorative items, loved music, dancing, movies, her Green Bay Packers, and especially her favorite player, Jordy Nelson, #87.
The hospitality field was Julee’s lifetime career and passion. She received an honor as The Best Waitress in Northern Wisconsin which recognized her for efficiency and friendliness by The National Restaurant Association and The Wisconsin Restaurant Association.
Julee loved creating and cooking her own unique recipes to share with family and friends. In the last few years, her son, Wyatt, has joined her in the kitchen making their own specialties, such as homemade pizza, smoothies, and so much more.
A graduate of Mercer Public School, Julee made many good forever friends, who have stayed in contact through the years. She absolutely loved playing on the Volleyball Team along with her sister, Missy, where they both excelled. Their teams won many awards. In fact, Julee was the stand-out Setter among other positions for the first Mercer High School Volleyball Team to win the State Championship in 1988.
Julee also enjoyed ballet dancing and attended the Joe Von Drake School of Dance in Ironwood, Michigan for several years.
Our Julee was left-handed, had a beautiful widow’s peak, a contagious laugh, a pretty smile, and was organized to a T. She kept us all in line, for sure. Her family always came first, with her.
In addition to her parents, Linda Gentile (Doriot) and Michael Gentile of Mercer, her sister, Melissa of Merrill, her brother, Michael II of Scottsdale, AZ., her son, Wyatt and her life partner, Mike, brother-in-law Andrew Hull, sister-in-law Andrea Gentile, Julee is survived by her grandmother, Elaine Mears, her nieces, GraceLee and Gianna Lyn, and nephews, Tristan and Michael III. Survivors also include her Aunts Linda Gentile and Kim Mears and Uncles David Gentile, Rodney Doriot, Eugene Mears and many cousins.
Julee was preceded in death by her dear Grandparents Grace and Guido Gentile, Calvin Doriot and Dale Mears. Her fun uncles, Roger Gentile and Lee (Butch) Doriot.
Our lives will never be the same without our Julee Anne but we will treasure every second we shared with her Forever And Always! We wish you “Perfect Peace”, Our Beautiful Star in the Sky.
Julee’s Life Celebration will be held at noon on Saturday, October 12th, 2024 at the Pines Restaurant in Mercer, WI. Online condolences may be shared at nimsgernfuneral.com
