Karen Ann Monti

Karen Ann Monti, 77, of Irma passed away Sunday, October 4, 2026 at her home with loved ones by her side. Karen was born August 31, 1949 in Racine, the daughter of Gerald and Elaine (Smith) Pankow. She was united in marriage on October 9, 1971 to Joseph Monti Jr. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Merrill.

Karen was mostly a stay-at-home mom, she was devoted to her husband and children and loved the life she had built with them. She enjoyed knitting, Elvis movies, baking, her Green Bay Packers, and especially her grandchildren, Dustin (Shawza), Abby, Molly and her great grandchildren Jameson and Taya- her “Little Punkins”. They brought so much happiness to her life.

She is survived by her daughters, Becky (Kevin) Krueger and Marsha Monti; her son, Joseph Monti; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Donna Massa; and two brothers, Robert (Julie) Pankow and David (Cammie) Pankow and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Elaine; husband, Joseph; and a grandson, Michael Clark.

Graveside services will be held with family at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 16, 2026 at Merrill Memorial Park, Merrill, with Pastor Joel Danner officiating. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17 at N4601 Poplar Rd, Irma starting at 1:00 p.m.
