Karen Faye (Toutges) Satre, age 74, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 7, 2026, as a result of a car accident. She was born on August 1, 1951, in South Dakota to Arnold Henry Toutges and Vina Lucille (Wellnitz) Toutges.

Karen grew up alongside her brothers, Dwayne, Dennis, Darrell, and Kenneth. She married David Charles Satre on January 26, 1971, in Hennepin County, Minnesota, and together they raised three children: Chris, Michael, and Char.

Karen enjoyed cross‑stitch, coloring, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren, family, and friends. During her retirement years, she drove for families in her community who relied on her help, a role she truly enjoyed and through which she made many cherished friendships.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David, her son, Michael, her parents, and her brothers, Dwayne and Dennis.

Karen is survived by her son Chris Satre, her daughter Char Satre, and Christina Satre, her granddaughter, whom she adopted and raised as her daughter. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Allie Winter, Grace Satre, and Carson, Baylee, and Lizzie Rush, along with many other relatives and friends who will miss her deeply.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
