Kathleen “Kay” Jelinek, 87, of Muskellunge Lake Road, Tomahawk, passed away peacefully at her home Thursday, June 5, 2025 surrounded by her family. Kay was born February 27, 1938 in Tomahawk to Fred and Dorothy (White) Borem. She was united in marriage to William C. Jelinek on July 20, 1957 in Tomahawk. “Sis,” as she was known to her family, worked for a time at Dr. Henderson’s office and spent the rest of her life devoted to being a wife and mother.
Kay Jelinek is survived by her husband of nearly 68 years, William C. Jelinek; four children, Todd (Ann) Jelinek of Tomahawk; Dann (Carla) Jelinek of DePere; Jenn (Joe) Smith of Austin, MN; and William J. (Jodi) Jelinek of Tomahawk. She is further survived by a brother, Gene (Bev) Borem of Tomahawk, 7 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. Sis is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert Borem.
Kay Jelinek’s life will be celebrated privately at the Krueger-Nimsgern Funeral Home. Fr. Aloysius Royan Anthony will officiate.
