Kathleen Ann Kainz

Kathleen “Kathy” Ann Kainz, age 69, a resident of Boulder Junction, WI, passed away surrounded by her family after a difficult battle with cancer, on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Marshfield Medical Center Minocqua, WI. She was born in Milwaukee, WI, March 11, 1956, to parents Russell and Marlene Moser.

Kathy was a domestic abuse survivor and advocate. On October 14, 1984, she married the love of her life, Michael A. Kainz, who gave her the love she deserved. Kathy studied at Nicolet College in Rhinelander, WI. She worked for many years as a CNA and did in-home healthcare. Her last job was working at Walmart of Minocqua as a jewelry associate for 10+ years.

Kathy was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling and spending time with her kids and grandchildren. The most important thing in the world to Kathy was always her family.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, parents, and sister Karen Master. Kathy is survived by her daughters: Vanessa (Christian) Hahn, Heather Zinsmeister; stepson: Howard (Jean) Rigden; grandchildren: Jasmine (Traye) Hendricks, Jared Hasch, Lauren Gardner, Sean Gardner; step grandchildren: Lizzy Rigden, Emily Rigden; great grandchild: Talon Hendricks; sibling: Kim (Tony) Chiconas; nephew: Justin Chiconas; as well as many other relatives and friends.

Private family services will be held.
