Lawrence M. Orlowski, age 88, of W6914 County Highway O, Tomahawk, formerly of Nekoosa, Wisconsin, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2008 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk following a brief illness. Lawrence was born on January 12, 1920 in Merrill, Wisconsin to Michael and Lena (Besacarsky) Orlowski. Lawrence was a World War II Army veteran, serving from June 9, 1942 to November 6, 1945. He married Burr Clark on October 30, 1946 in Nekoosa. She passed away on February 23, 1990. They had been married for 43 years. On May 16, 1991 Lawrence married Margaret VanRyan in Tomahawk. He had worked at Nekoosa Papers, Inc. retiring on January 1, 1983 as a Power Department Supervisor. Lawrence loved his trips to Montana and especially hunting with his sons and son-in-law. He loved collecting Red Wing Pottery and was a charter member of the Red Wing Collector's Society. Survivors include: Wife, Maggie 3 sons, Clark (Jean) Orlowski Nekoosa Curt (Deb) Orlowski Wisconsin Rapids Colin Orlowski Bonner, MT 2 Daughters, Cintra (Gary) Morton Marion, MT Colete (Bill) Senn Wisconsin Rapids 2 Step Children, Pete (Blanche) VanRyan Tomahawk Alice Meisenheimer Milwaukee Lawrence is further survived by 5 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren, 7 Step Grandchildren, and 14 Great Step Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Burr, Grandson, Wes and step Grandchild, Larry, 3 Sisters, and 3 Brothers. Funeral Services for Lawrence Orlowski will be held on Thursday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. from St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Rev. John Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of Mass at 3 p.m. Thursday afternoon. A Military memorial service will immediately precede the service at 3:00 p.m.
