Leo Pintens, age 88, of Harrison, passed away at Tomahawk Aspirus Hospital on February 21, 2023.


Leo was born on July 8, 1934 in Harrison to Leo A. & Marie (Schoone) Pintens. Leo was married on April 14, 1956 in St. Augustine Catholic Church to Louise Dirkx. Together in Harrison, they ran their household on their dairy farm. Leo enjoyed dairy farming and, most of all, cutting firewood. He also was a mason and a carpenter, was a milk delivery truck driver to the cheese factory. Leo enjoyed hunting, fishing, tobogganing, downhill & cross country skiing and swimming. Leo loved his family and his dogs, too.


Leo is survived by his children – James (Rosetta) Pintens of Sinton Texas, Diane (Larry Peters) Murphy of Tomahawk, Connie (Mark) Roberts of Rhinelander, Bernadette (Paul) Albert of Tomahawk and Elizabeth Pintens of Tomahawk; and his sister – Johanna Amelse of Merrill. He is further survived by 21 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife – Louise Pintens, daughters – Angela & Cheryl, grandson – Cody & great grandson – Bentley.


The Mass of Christian Burial for Leo Pintens will take place at 11:00AM on Monday, February 27, 2023 at St. Mary Catholic Church. Visitation will take place on Sunday evening at the Krueger Family Funeral Home from 4:00PM until the time of Rosary Service at 6:30PM. Visitation will continue on Monday from 10:00AM until the time of Mass at 11:00AM. Leo will be buried in St. Augustine Cemetery in Harrison in the springtime.
