Leonard Yrjola

Leonard M. Yrjola, age 74, of Tomahawk, passed away Friday, October 31, 2008 at Golden Living Center-Riverview in Tomahawk. He was born October 4, 1934 to the late Valentine and Helmi (Maki) Yrjola. Leonard was born and raised in the Brantwood area where he was a lifelong Dairy Farmer. He enjoyed working in the woods, hunting, fishing, and reading. He was known for his wonderful wry sense of humor. Leonard cared for his mother for many years. Survivors include 2 Sisters, Hazel Pelegrin of Green Bay, WI, and Lorraine Hollister of Joliet, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Toini Palmquist. Graveside Services for Leonard Yrjola will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at the Clifford Finnish Cemetery. Rev. Sandy Johnson will officiate. Memorials are appreciated to Golden Living Center-Riverview in Tomahawk.
