Lois Osborn

Lois Osborn, age 90, a resident of Boulder Junction, WI, passed away July 19, 2026, surrounded by her loving children. She was born October 27, 1935, in Rockford, IL, to parents Eric and Rowena (Thompson) Anderson. She graduated from Rockford West High School and attended William Woods University.

Lois married the love of her life Donald Osborn on April 28, 1956. She found many hobbies to do during her time as a homemaker. She was a prolific seamstress and had a passion for cross stitching, which she gave many of her creations away as gifts. She was an avid reader, collector of pottery, and antique clocks. Lois had a great knack for decorating.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband Don; daughter: Sarah; brother: Steve Anderson, brother-in-law: Coe Johnson; sister and brother-in-law: Nan and Howie Carter. She is survived by her children: David (Gayle Derwinski) Osborn, Jill (Bob) Lawrence; her grandchildren that affectionately named her “Gegum”: Colin, Peter, Andrew, Katie, Nick, Eric; great grandchildren: Jaxson, Gabby, Hunter, Delaney; sisters: Ada Johnson, Gail (Dennis) Huffington; sister in law: Carolyn Anderson; much loved nieces and nephews: Beth, Amy, Deb, Leigh, Heather, Steve, Eric, Michael, Mark; and her cheese loving grand dog Toby.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at Boulder Junction Community Church on August 15, 2026, from 12:30 until the time of the Memorial Service at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in Lois’s name to The Boulder Junction Community Foundation, 200 Washington St. Suite 120 Wausau, WI 54403.
