Lottie Jean Zierer (Keilman), of Phillips, Wisconsin, passed away on July 21, 2026, following a heart attack.

Born on February 15, 1942, in Hammond, Indiana, to Edward and Phyllis (Dlugokinski) Keilman, Lottie's family relocated to Phillips, Wisconsin, in 1954. It was there, while attending Phillips High School, that she met the love of her life, Michael Zierer. Lottie graduated in 1960, and she and Mike were married the following year on December 2, 1961, beginning a beautiful partnership rooted in their shared hometown.

A devoted mother to her two sons, Kent and Brent, Lottie spent her early years building a warm and loving home as a stay-at-home mom. As her children grew, her profound love for kids and her natural desire to help others led her to a career at Phillips Elementary School. She began as a paraprofessional and eventually became the school secretary, a role where her patience and kindness undoubtedly touched the lives of countless students and staff members over the years.

Lottie was the heart of her family, always there when you needed her, quietly putting the interests and comfort of others before her own. She was also a remarkably creative soul who found joy in making things by hand.

From intricate cake decorating and crocheted dolls to crafting beautiful ceramic pieces, her home was filled with the remnants of her artistic spirit. Lottie was eager to pass down this love of crafts to her six grandchildren, allowing them to enhance their own talents with an artistic eye guided by their own creative hands. This beautiful legacy continues to blossom in them today, living on in their own creative pursuits.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Michael; her son, Brent, and his wife, Christy; her daughter-in-law, Julie (wife of the late Kent Zierer); her six beloved grandchildren, Hannah, Grant, Ava, Gacia, Cade, and Kiana; her brother, Pete Keilman; and her sister, Betty Hanson.

Lottie was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Phyllis, and her beloved son, Kent.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor Lottie's memory, with service details to be announced by the family.
