Prentice

Marian Ann Nussberger, born February 18th, 1932 passed away on March 24th, 2026 at the Lakeside Villa in Phillips, Wisconsin. We honor and celebrate the life of a remarkable woman who passed away at the age of 94, leaving behind a legacy of strength, resilience, faith, and deep love for her family.

Born into a world very different from today, she grew to become a pioneer in her own right. In the mid 1900’s she helped to run a trucking business and later a logging equipment business–an uncommon path for a woman at the time—demonstrating grit, determination, and an unwavering work ethic. She was never afraid of hard work and faced every challenge head-on, building a life defined by perseverance, determination, and courage.

Her journey was not without hardship. She endured the heartbreaking loss of an infant child, the tragic loss of a brother, a fire that claimed many of their business assets and the death of her husband Willis. Yet through every trial, she remained steadfast. Her faith guided her, giving her strength when the road was most difficult and hope when circumstances seemed overwhelming.

Despite her own struggles, she was always the first to extend a helping hand. She had a generous spirit and a compassionate heart, never turning away someone in need. Whether through quiet acts of kindness, such as handing out her handmade crosses or her steadfast love and support, she made a lasting difference in the lives of many.

Above all else, she cherished her family. They were her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment. She loved deeply, gave selflessly, and created a legacy that will live on through those who knew and loved her.

Her life was a testament to resilience, faith, and the power of kindness. She will be remembered not only for what she endured, but for how she endured it—with grace, strength, and an open heart.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Marian is survived by her sons Robert Nussberger of Prentice and Terry (Cheryl Patrick) Nussberger of Ladysmith, one grandson Noah Nussberger of Boyd and one sister, Doris Kresheck-Beyer of Milwaukee, several nieces and nephews and extended family members.
