Marie A. Wieting, 94, Phillips, died on Tuesday August 25, 2015, at Flambeau Hospital, Park Falls. She was born on November 23, 1920, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Louis and Mamie (Volk) Schaefer. She spent most of her life in the Milwaukee area. She was married to Lawrence Wieting in April 1940. He preceded her in death in 1980. She made her home in Phillips in 2006.
She enjoyed her family and friends and trips to the local casinos.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Karen (Ed) Bornhofer, Hayward, and Linda (Butch) Brown, Phillips; by 5 grandchildren, 8 great- grandchildren, and 4 great- great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband,, her parents, and by 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
There is no service being planned at this time.
