Marjorie A. Houg, 96, of Three Lakes, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Riverview Health Services in Tomahawk under the care of Compassus Hospice.
Marg was born November 26, 1925 in Wausau to Edward and Verona (Kell) Wendorf. She was first married to Anton Tabaka on June 15, 1946, he passed away in 1965. On July 6, 1970 Marg married James Houg, he passed away in February of this year. Marg lived her younger years in the Wasuau area. She had been employed at Marathon Electric and later at GTE for 25 years. In 1986 she and Jim retired to the Three Lakes area. Marg enjoyed cooking, baking, fishing, dancing, singing, and entertaining company. She was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church in Three Lakes.
Surviving Marjorie Houg are her five children, Thomas (Bonnie) Tabaka, Wausau, Terry (Sissy) Tabaka, Wausau, Patricia (Tony) Zastrow, Tomahawk, Randy (Carrie) Tabaka, Wausau, and Robert (Hope) Houg of Three Lakes. She is further survived by a sister, Jeannie (James) Klinger, Wausau, twelve grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. Marg is preceded in death by her two husbands, a great granddaughter (Maggie), four sisters, and three brothers.
A Memorial Service for Marg Houg will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022, 11:00 a.m. from the Krueger Family Funeral Home. Rev. Dr. Gary Uttech will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Krueger Family Funeral Home Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m.
