Marjorie Kath

Marjorie J. Kath, age 88, 428 N. 6th St., Tomahawk, passed away August 1, 2009 at Golden Living Center - Riverview, Tomahawk. Marjorie was born September 19, 1920 in Waukegan, Illinois. She married Lee Thurman in 1940 in Champaign, Illinois; he passed away in 1963. She later married Fred "Fritz" Kath in 1977; he passed away in 2007. Marjorie lived in Highland, Indiana before moving to Tomahawk in 1970. She formerly worked at Sacred Heart Hospital, Nelson's, Riverview Terrace, and was also a school bus driver. Marjorie enjoyed crocheting, painting Hummels, ceramics, and bird watching. She was a member of Redeemer Ev. Lutheran Church in Tomahawk. Survivors include: Son Scott (Shirley) Thurman Tomahawk Daughter Bonnie (Brian) Bart Rhinelander Brother Bill Zea Arizona 2 sisters Mary Ellen Addison, Illinois Irene Grayslake, Illinois Marjorie is further survived by 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, and 2 sons - Terry and Dennis. Funeral Services for Marjorie Kath will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 7, 2009 from Redeemer Ev. Lutheran Church in Tomahawk. Rev. Mark Gass will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of services at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Tomahawk.
