Marvin L. Brandt Sr.

Marvin Lee Brandt, age 89 of Hazelhurst, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 17, 2026.

Marvin was born on March 4, 1937 to Katherine (Gusdendorf) Broecker and Henry Brandt Jr. in Hayward, Wisconsin. Marvin was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Isadora (Wallace) Brandt, his brother Fred Ziem (Janet), sister Genevieve (Brandt) Wilkozek, daughter, Marvella Brandt, and his son Marvin Brandt Jr (Sherry).

He is survived by his children, Phyllis Ostrander (Michael), Theresa Brandt, Bradley Brandt (Angel), Linette Frietas (Don), Rick Brandt (Shannon), as well as as many grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family and friends.

Marvin worked many years as a mechanic while raising a family of seven children. He loved working on his old 1971 Bronco and was especially good at fixing things and making them run again. He also loved spending time hunting and fishing in the North Woods. He volunteered on the Little Rice Fire Department.  Growing up in Hayward, Wisconsin his family ran Lost Land Lake Lodge . He spent his summers working and fishing at the resort.

Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Woodruff, Wisconsin on Thursday, September 24th at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation from 10:00 am till time of service.  Burial will follow the services at Saint Patrick's Cemetery.
