Mary Lou Seipp, 84, of Bridge Street, Tomahawk, passed away Sunday, April 28th at Riverview Health Service under the care of Aspirus Hospice. 

Mary Lou was born September 8, 1939 in Tomahawk to William and Genevieve (Gahan) Reich. She married Gene Seipp on August 26, 1961 also in Tomahawk. She had attended Stevens Point Normal School and later received her bachelors degree from UW Stevens Point. She spent her first year of teaching at St. Therese in Wausau and then spent the next 38 years at Tomahawk Elementary School teaching First grade. Mary Lou also worked as a life guard and taught swimming lessons to countless young people over many years. She was a proud recipient of the Bell Award from the Tomahawk School District.  

Surviving Mary Lou Seipp is her husband, Gene. 3 siblings, Frank (Diane) Reich, Wisconsin Rapids; Tom (Nancy) Reich, Washington; and Rita Kimball of New York. She is also survived by two foster grandchildren, Breanna and Brandon Kaufman and many loving nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Irene Copiskey and brother, Bill Reich. 

A Memorial Mass for Mary Lou Seipp will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Mary Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of mass at 11:00 a.m. Krueger Nimsgern Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
