Myrtle Willet

Myrtle A. Willet, age 90, of Tomahawk, passed away early this morning (Sunday, May 18, 2008) at Golden Living Center Golden Age in Tomahawk. She was born May 12, 1918 in Irma to the late Charles and Alfrieda Schroder. She was later married to Leo Willet on June 23, 1936 in Merrill; he passed away in 1978. Myrtle was a longtime resident of the Irma area. She was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Tomahawk, where she was a member of the Bible Study Group. She was known as a caretaker to many family and friends. She enjoyed taking part in many crafts, and collecting angels. Myrtle especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include 2 Daughters, Darlene Brunk of Dekalb, Illinois, and Verdell (Joe) Jazdewksi of Irma, 1 Son, Claude (Terry) Willet of Irma, 2 Sisters, Mabel Weddington of Bremen, Kentucky, and Loretta Karpenske of Tomahawk. Myrtle is further survived by many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Parents, her Husband, Leo, 10 Brothers and Sisters, and a Grandson, Raymond Willet in 2007. Memorial Service for Myrtle Willet will be held Saturday, May 24, 2008 at 11 AM from the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Tomahawk, with Rev. John Miskimen to officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of services at 11. Interment will take place at a later date at the Gleason Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated.
