Raymond LeRoy Robinson passed away peacefully on February 5th, 2026 in Tomahawk, Wisconsin.
Ray was born on September 12, 1941 in Cornell, Wisconsin to Gordon and Stella Robinson. He graduated from Tomahawk high school in 1959 and from the University of Wisconsin in 1964. He was commissioned as an officer in the US Navy and served during the Vietnam War on the Destroyer USS JAMES E KYES (DD-787) as the Combat Information Center Officer. After his naval service, Ray worked as an accountant at Square D Corporation and Parker Hannifin. He met his wife, Patti at Square D and they married on August 2nd, 1980 in South Milwaukee. Patti and Ray lived in the greater Milwaukee, WI area for 20 years, Kenosha, WI for 7 years, and they retired and moved to Lake Nokomis in Tomahawk, WI in 2007. In his free time, he loved golfing, fishing, hunting, taking long nature walks and bike rides, and spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially boat rides and quiet moments on his porch looking over the bay.
Ray is preceded in death by his wife Patti Robinson and his parents Gordon and Stella Robinson. He is survived by his daughter Amanda (Paul) DeVorse; his grandchildren: Liam and Abigail DeVorse; his siblings: Doris (Michael) Orlowski and Donald (Sharon) Robinson.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Milestone Senior Living and Compassus Hospice Care.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, February 19th, 2026 at 11 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tomahawk with Military Honors. Visitation will be held from 10 am until the time of the Mass.
