Richard "Dick" Forecki

Richard “Dick” Forecki, age 85, a resident of Phillips, WI, passed away January 17, 2026, at Park Manor in Park Falls, WI. He was born on May 6, 1940, in Milwaukee, WI, to parents Ted and Rose Forecki.

Dick graduated from Boys Tech High School in Milwaukee. He married Betty Anne Sienko on February 3, 1962. He had 28 years of service to the Milwaukee Fire Department. Retiring from his last post as Battalion Chief.

Dick loved spending time with his family and friends, especially hanging out with the grandkids. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening was a passion, as well as being an avid hunter, and fisherman. He dabbled in taxidermy, and photography. He learned woodworking from his father and was a handyman that would help anyone with any project.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws: Bernie and Dorothy Sienko; brothers: Ken and Warren. He is survived by his loving wife: Betty; children: Cynthia (Robert) Saskowski, Craig (Connie) Forecki; grandchildren: Amber, Ashley, and Robert Saskowski; great granddaughter: Lyla; siblings: Sue Deja, Colleen Forecki, Wayne (Chris) Forecki, Robert (Mary) Forecki; many other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Heindl-Nimsgern Funeral Home in Phillips, WI. A Memorial Gathering will begin at 10:00 am.

In lieu of flowers memorials in Dick’s honor can be made to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation.
