Richard C. Kramar, age 84 of Phillips, WI, formerly of Portage WI, passed away on August 14th at Marshfield Medical Center.
He was born to Charles and Mary(Sperl) Kramar in September 15, 1940. He grew up on the family farm in Kennan. When he met the love of life, Virginia Meives, that was it. They were married on June 11,1966. They settled down in Portage, Wi where they raised two beautiful children, Reuben and Cindy. While in Portage, he held down many jobs with several different companies, which included Gunderson Construction, Penda Corporation, Rio Foundry, and a position at a local mobile home park where he did many things. After retirement, they returned to their home roots in Phillips.
In his leisure time, he enjoyed going fishing, hunting, tinkering with wood projects, and his wonderful garden. He enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers games. He also enjoyed spending time with all his family and friends whether camping, at events or just home relaxing and watching them. He enjoyed traveling with his family to several different places. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were a highlight to him whenever they came to visit. He was devoted member of the Catholic Church.
He is survived by two children, Reuben (Wilma) Kramar of Phillips and Cindy Kramar of Dorchester, Wi. Six grandchildren, Reuben Jr. (Victoria) Kramar of Stanley, Timothy (Kelly) Kramar of North Port, Fl, Susan (George) Hardy of Phillips. Wi, Catherine Barnhart of Lake Wales, Fl, Quinn(Alison) Kramar of Pulaski, Wi, and Elizabeth Winters of Dorchester, Wi. and 8 great grandchildren, Jackson, Brooklyn, Abbie, Noah, Christopher, Thomas, William, and Zoey. One sister, Frieda Kempen of Appleton; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Virginia Kramar, his parents, Charles and Mary, two sisters, Veronica Patterson and Florence Uravich, one brother Clarence Kramer, sister-in-law Lorraine Stunkel and brother-in-law Dale Meives.
Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 26th at 1:30 pm at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Catawba, WI with a visitation from 12:30 pm till time of service. Inurnment will follow at Kennan Cemetery. There will be a luncheon after the inurnment in the fellowship hall of the church.
