Robert "Bob" Martinson

Robert “Bob” Martinson, age 84, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2026, at Our House Memory Care Facility in Wausau, Wisconsin.

Bob was born on August 24, 1941, in Tomahawk, Wisconsin, to Arthur and Dorothy Martinson. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Bob proudly served in the Army National Guard for four years before beginning his career at Computer Sciences Raytheon, in Cape Canaveral, Florida, where he worked as a Timing Controller from 1966 until his retirement in 2007. During his free time, he especially loved spending time at his family’s property along the river.

He is survived by his siblings: Earl (Sandra) Martinson of Tomahawk, WI; Donna Spring (Peter Donald) of Colorado; and Marilyn (Mike) Jirovec of Merrill, WI; along with nine nieces and nephews.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Charles “Rick” and Janice Sherlock of Florida, as well as the compassionate staff at Our House Memory Care Facility, for their dedicated care and support during Bob’s battle with Alzheimer’s.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring.
