Ron J. Doak

August 23, 1957 — December 30, 2023

Newbold

Ron J. Doak, age 66, passed away on December 30, 2023, at his residence on Two Sisters Lake in Newbold, WI. He was born on August 23, 1957, in Wisconsin, to his late parents, Alexander and Jennie Doak. Ron was a devoted husband to his beloved wife of 45 years, Jayne Doak. Together, they built a life full of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Ron and Jayne began their journey in marriage on May 4, 1979, establishing a bond that lasted until his passing.

He was a graduate of Germantown High School, Class of 1975. Ron was a dedicated employee at several factories in the Milwaukee area, such as Milwaukee Electric Tool and Briggs & Stratton, before settling in for 34 years until his retirement at Super Steel (from 1984 to 2018).

Beyond his profession, Ron was engaged in his community. He found joy in attending local high school football and basketball games, volunteered in various local churches, and was a proud member of the National Rifle Association. Few in the family could claim to be a better water skier; and no one ate more candy. He was an excellent singer, and once played the leading role in a Christmas musical production at Emmaus Bible Church. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, hiking, playing board games and cards, and cheering for (or yelling at) the Green Bay Packers. However, Ron's greatest joy came from spending time with his cherished family. He was a devoted father to Brian Ron Doak (wife Susan Melendez Doak), Jeffrey James Doak, Kimberly Jayne Konrath (née Doak) (husband Scott Konrath), Marcus Alexander Doak (wife Sara Doak), and Micah Douglas Doak. Ron was the beloved grandfather of Hope, Nova, Charlie, Junia, Anderson, Henry, Delaney, and Abigail.

Ron held to a simple faith in God throughout his life. His favorite Bible verse was John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” He will be remembered for his loyalty to family, his sense of humor, and his love of the outdoors.

He is survived by his siblings Beverly Doak, Pat Strobel, Jeanne Smith, Joanne Millermon, Karen Fettig, John Doak, and Roger Doak—as well as many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander and Jennie Doak, his brother Alex Doak, his father-in-law, Douglas Pfister, his brothers-in-law William Smith and Jerry Strobel, and his nephews Daniel Fettig and David Fettig.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Ron's life will be held at Northlife Church, St. Germain, WI, on January 8, 2024, with visitation at 10:00AM and service at 11:00AM (luncheon to follow). The family appreciates prayers during this time of remembrance.
