It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald John Rempert, Sr on May 18, 2025, at the age of 84 after a short illness. He was born on November 25, 1940 in Watersmeet, Gogebic, Michigan to Henry and Marvel (nee Asbach) Rempert. He served honorably in the United States Navy from 1961-1965 as a Sonar Operator onboard the USS CHARLES S. SPERRY (DD697), which participated in the blockade of Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He met and married his wife, Sharon in April 1967 and recently celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary. He worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad (later the Burlington Northern/Sante Fe railroad) until his retirement in 2000. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Rempert, his mother, Marvel Rempert, his oldest brother William Rempert, and his older brother Duane Rempert. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Rempert (nee Melmuka), sister Marjorie Bielick (nee Rempert), sister Louise Ladwig (nee Rempert), son Ronald John Rempert, Jr (Heather), daughter Rebecca Callahan (nee Rempert) (Mark), grandchildren Laura Kaspar (nee Rempert) (Christopher), Christina Welch (nee Rempert) (Randall), Morgan Copeman (nee Callahan) (Dustin), Ronald John Rempert III, Audrey Schultz (nee Callahan) (Parker), Emma Rempert, 4 great grandchildren, Addison Welch, Noelle Jeffery, Olivia Welch, Charlotte Copeman, and nieces and nephews.

Private funeral services will be handled by Nimsgern Funeral & Cremation Services in Woodruff, Wisconsin.
