Roseann S. Ferry

Roseann S. Ferry, age 89, a resident of Rhinelander, WI, formerly of Arbor Vitae and Minocqua, WI, passed away January 2, 2026. She was born on December 30, 1936, in Berwyn, IL, to parents Walter and Rose Ginther. She grew up in Lyons, IL, until attending the University of Illinois, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in education. Roseann met the love of her life, Richard Ferry, at the University of Illinois, and they were married on August 24, 1958.

Roseann retired after 30 years of teaching 4th grade at Washington Elementary School in Waukegan School District. She was a founding member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Waukegan, IL and of Peace Lutheran Church in Arbor Vitae, WI. Roseann loved her family and caring for her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, and parents. Roseann is survived by her children: Kathy (Mike) Paholke, Scott (Deb) Ferry, Mike Ferry; grandchildren: Kevin (Amy), Jen (Matt), Steve, Patricia, Matt, Katie, Andrew (Jessica), Amy (Joey), Courtney (Jake); great-grandchildren: Katelyn, Georgina, Jordyn, Bodhi, Rowan, Alexandar, Adelynn, Sadie; brother: Walter Ginther, Jr, and many other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials in Roseann’s honor can be made to Peace Lutheran Church, Arbor Vitae, WI, or Moments Hospice, Rhinelander, WI.

Private services will be held at a later date.
