Theresa Barr

Theresa M. Barr, age 79 of Tomahawk, passed away Monday, December 29, 2008 at Golden Living Center - Golden Age in Tomahawk. Theresa was born December 13, 1929 in Appleton, the daughter of Henry and Catherine (Baer) Worden. She married William Barr on April 3, 1948 in Rhinelander; he passed away in 2001. Theresa was a Tomahawk resident since 1948. She was employed with Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk for over 15 years. She then went to work for Harley-Davidson until her retirement in 1995. She enjoyed going to casinos, playing bingo, cribbage, and cards. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Survivors include: 2 sons William (Debbie) Barr Onalaska Gary Barr Tomahawk 1 daughter Christina (David) Schoone Harrison 1 brother Charles Worden Rhinelander 1 sister Mary Worden Oshkosh Theresa is further survived by 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A Memorial Mass for Theresa Barr will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Friday, January 2, 2009 at 11:00 a.m., Fr. John Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church Friday morning from 10 a.m. until the hour of services at 11.
