Verna Wegner

Verna C. Wegner, age 92, of Tomahawk, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2008 at Golden Living Center- Golden Age in Tomahawk. She was born November 7, 1915 in Wausau, WI. She was later married to Norman Wegner on June 5, 1935 in the Town of Corning; he passed away June 8, 1997. Verna grew up in the Merrill area. She and Norman formerly owned and operated Wegner's Tavern for many years. They retired and moved to Tomahawk in 1975. Survivors include 2 Sons, Norbert Wegner of Adamsville, Tennessee, and Harvey Wegner of Carol Stream, Illinois. Verna was preceded in death by her Parents, her Husband, and 2 Sons, Keith and Roger Wegner. Private Family Services will be held at a later date.
