William John Gitzlaff

William “Bill” John Gitzlaff, age 74 of Minocqua, WI passed away peacefully due to complications of ALS with his wife and daughter by his side on Friday May 29th at Howard Young Medical Center.

Bill was born on August 30, 1951 in Racine, WI the son of Arnold and Lois (nee Hinz) Gitzlaff. Bill proudly served in the US Coast Guard.

He always needed to be the first one across the lake in his boat or on his snowmobile, golfing enthusiast, horseshoe ringer, and the best baseball player a team could ask for.

Bill is survived by his wife Diane and daughter Jennifer (Patrick) Kimmerling and by his grandsons Tyler and Matthew Kimmerling and by his brother Stephen (Sue) Gitzlaff and further survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Arnold and Lois Gitzlaff.

Upon his wishes, cremation took place and private services with military honors will take place at Forest Gardens Cemetery. There will be a celebration of life for Bill at a later date.
