William Poshtar

William J. Poshtar, age 56, 118 W. Lincoln Ave., Tomahawk, passed away June 29, 2008 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. William was born October 3, 1951 in Fort William Ontario, Canada, the son of William and Ruth Poshtar. He married Patricia Rose on August 11, 1973 in Tomahawk. William worked as a police officer for the Thunder Bay Police Department in Ontario, Canada, and moved to Tomahawk in 1999. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and turkey hunting. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Survivors include: Wife Patty Poshtar Tomahawk Father William Poshtar Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada 2 Daughters Molly (Nick) Amelse Margaret Poshtar both of Tomahawk 1 Brother Peter (Karen) Poshtar Edmonton, Alberta, Canada 2 Grandchildren Jack Amelse and Jenna Poshtar William was preceded in death by his mother Ruth in 2005 and an infant brother - James. A Graveside Service for William Poshtar will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2008 from Calvary Cemetery in Tomahawk.
